Abstract

The main objective of this work is to identify the theoretical and methodological interests regarding the local context in the field of History and History of Education in the Baixada Fluminense - RJ. Thus, based on the analysis of works focused on the local context, through scale perspectives (Revel, 1998), and directed towards the Baixada Fluminense in two significant events in 2024: the regional event of the National Association of History Researchers (ANPUH) and the IV Meeting of History of Education of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the directions of readings on the local context of the Baixada Fluminense will be presented. From the annals of the events and works produced on the Regional Meetings of History of Education in Rio de Janeiro, it was identified how historiographical writings on the History of Education event in the region are concerned with and reflect on theoretical and methodological meanings from the local perspective, enabling the recognition of identities places, something that was confirmed with presentations in practically all sections at the IV EHED, with topics on the Baixada Fluminense.
