Interview with María Gabriela Huidobro Salazar: “Women have always participated and contributed to the construction of society, throughout time and in all historical processes”

María Gabriela Huidobro Salazar, dean of the Facultad de Educación y Ciencias Sociales at Universidad Andrés Bello since 2015 -who also holds a degree in Humanities and is a high school teacher with a mention in History from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and a PhD in History from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile- published in June of this year the book Mujeres en la historia de Chile, which already has its first reprint. Huidobro received the Miguel Cruchaga Tocornal Prize in 2013, awarded by the Academia Chilena de la Historia, and is a Fondecyt researcher, where she has developed research on classical reception studies, the history of education in Chile and the history of women. In this last line of research is framed in her recent work, in which she relays the role of women in society throughout history.
